Queensrÿche for summer!

Want this cool necklace! So I can look cool on the beach ;)

The band Queensrÿche today is not the same one I came to love during the late 1980's and beyond. It is not overly astute to say this, obviously, and all bands that last through decades have to change. Band members, musical style, image, even the fans of the band -- moving on, evolving, collaborating -- change and look different to those who are part of the movement that create
shows and music that are part of the whole experience. Like many legendary bands, Queensrÿche created (and still creates) community and a kind of experience for those who listen and rock to their stuff. Seeing them live in Long Island, NY with high school friends who were more interested in Def Leppard, it was one of my first live arena shows. Squeezing into House of Blues (or was it Axis, then?) to check them out more recently -- maybe 2010? -- I was scolded by some woman for being in her way and rocking out in the general admission area. Looking through the cd's of this amazing band that I went out and bought, realizing that I have to add them once again to my iTunes since my hard drive crashed, I guess I am happy to have a chance to look back on some of the best things they did, and decide which songs would be in my Queensrÿche Hall of Fame. What are the new tunes like compared to the old ones?
